The narrowest ribbons of fairways thread their way through as impressive a set of sand dunes as could be imagined. The fairways are surrounded by purple heather and golden gorse, so beautiful to look at but so punishing for any who may stray from the prescribed path.

The ‘bearded’ bunkers are world famous and feature overhanging lips of marram, red fescue and heather. The greens are fast and many are domed, rejecting any shot lacking conviction. This is a true test of any player’s command of the traditional bump and run, the preferred way to play any links.

Ardglass

Ardglass Golf Course is an 18 hole links course on the north-eastern coast of Ireland with many stunning views and excellent and unique golf holes. The course is just 50 minutes by car from Belfast and only 30 minutes from the world renowned Royal County Down golf links at Newcastle.

The course is a true test of golf, particularly on a windy day. The course hugs the coastline, with no fewer than 8 holes where the Irish Sea coastline comes into play. The Irish Sea is visible from all 18 tees and greens and on a clear day it is possible to see across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man.

Kilkeel

The Course is situated at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and can be found 3 miles from Kilkeel town centre on the main Newry Road. The beautiful and historic Carlingford Lough flows alongside and frequent glimpses can be obtained through the many mature trees which separate the fairways.

Only 12 miles from Royal County Down, the Club has played host to the R&A and Senior European Tour having been used as a qualifying Course for the British Amateur and Senior British Open.

The Par 72 Championship Course proves a real challenge to the discerning player and a relaxing round of golf for the casual enthusiast.

Spa Golf Club

For two years in a row, Spa was host to the European Senior Tour qualifying rounds for the British Seniors Open.
Adjacent to Montalto Estate, with great views of Sileve Croob and the Mourne Mountains, the course is a challenging par 72, just over 6500 yards long.
